What are fly-in programs?

Aimed at attracting high-achieving disadvantaged students, these programs provide transportation to accepted students at no cost. When they reach the campus, the students are given tours and meet with faculty and students among other activities.

When do applications happen?

The exact dates vary depending on the college, but they generally take place during the summer before Senior year or at the beginning of Senior year.

Matchlighters Scholars Program

What is the Matchlighters Scholars Program?

A program hosted by the College Essay Guy, through which accepted students receive 10 hours of free one-on-one support with the college application process from experienced counselors

What are the eligibility requirements?

  • US resident

  • Working to get into college or graduate school

  • Have a 3.0 unweighted GPA

College Prep Scholars Program

What is the College Prep Scholars Program?

A program hosted by Questbridge to ease the college application process for high achieving high school juniors who are disadvantaged.

What are the benefits of the program?

  • A full scholarship to a college summer program (ex: Yale, Emory)

  • College essay feedback

  • Resources and guidance with the college application process

  • Access to the Questbridge National College Admissions Conference (includes workshops & college fairs)

  • Quest for Excellence Award (ex: $1,000 for laptop purchase)

  • Carries over to Senior year, guaranteed status as Questbridge National Match Program
